Septorhinoplasty typically takes between two and three hours under general anaesthesia. The exact duration depends on the complexity of the structural and cosmetic corrections required.

If a closed approach is used, all incisions are made inside the nostrils, leaving no visible scars. If an open approach is required, a small incision is made across the columella (the tissue between the nostrils), which heals into a barely perceptible fine line within a few months.

Most patients can safely fly seven days after surgery, once the external splint has been removed and the surgeon has confirmed satisfactory healing at the follow-up appointment.
