FDL abdominoplasty is the most extensive tummy tuck: the horizontal incision continues all the way round the body and a vertical incision runs down the middle of the abdomen. Skin is removed in both directions — downwards and side to side — the abdominal muscles are repaired and the navel is repositioned. It is planned when the skin left after major weight loss is too loose for a 360 alone.
