Adjustment Period
The denture may feel bulky or unfamiliar at first. Mild soreness on gum tissue is normal. Start with soft foods.
Days 2-7
Adaptation
Your tongue and cheeks adapt to the new prosthesis. Speech improves. Remove the denture at night to let gums rest.
Weeks 2-8
Relines as Needed
As extraction sites heal and gums shrink, the denture may loosen. Return for a chairside reline to restore fit.

You can eat most foods, but should avoid very hard, sticky, or chewy items that could dislodge or damage the denture. Cut food into small pieces and chew on both sides.
Remove it after meals and brush with a soft brush and mild soap or denture cleaner. Soak overnight in a denture solution. Never use hot water as it can warp the acrylic.
