Arm Lift Techniques

Standard Brachioplasty

An incision runs from the armpit to the elbow along the inner (medial) aspect of the upper arm. The surgeon removes the excess skin and fat, then closes the incision with layered sutures. This technique provides the most dramatic improvement and is necessary for patients with significant skin excess.

Scarring: A linear scar along the inner upper arm. While visible, the scar is positioned on the inner surface where it is least noticeable and fades over 12 to 18 months. Best for: Significant skin excess, particularly after major weight loss.

Mini Arm Lift (Limited Incision)

The incision is confined to the armpit area, with or without a short extension along the inner arm. This technique addresses mild to moderate skin laxity in the upper portion of the arm closest to the armpit.

Who Is a Good Candidate?
