How Does Tipplasty Work?
- 1Your surgeon analyses your nasal tip anatomy, skin thickness, and cartilage structure during a detailed preoperative consultation with digital imaging.
- 2Under general anaesthesia, a closed (endonasal) or open approach is used depending on the degree of correction needed.
- 3The lower lateral cartilages are reshaped using precise suture techniques, cartilage scoring, or minimal cartilage trimming.

Yes. Refining a bulbous or wide tip can significantly improve the frontal view by creating a slimmer, more defined nasal tip.
If a closed approach is used, all incisions are inside the nose with no visible scarring. If an open approach is necessary, a tiny incision on the columella (the skin between the nostrils) fades to become virtually invisible.
We recommend five to six nights: one for preparation, one for surgery and hospital stay, and three to four for recovery with splint removal and follow-up visits.
