Quel est le calendrier de récupération ?
Day 1
Surgery & Hospital
The procedure takes 1-2 hours. You spend one night in the hospital wearing a surgical support bra. Mild tightness and soreness are normal.
Day 2-5
Hotel Recovery
You transfer to the hotel and rest. Gentle arm movements are encouraged. Avoid lifting anything heavier than 2 kg.
Day 7
Follow-Up Appointment
The surgeon checks your incisions and healing. Most patients fly home comfortably at this point.
Week 2-6
Implant Settling
The implants gradually drop into their final position ('drop and fluff'). You can return to desk work after 1-2 weeks and light exercise after 4 weeks.
Month 3-6
Final Result
Swelling fully resolves, the implants settle, and the breasts reach their final shape and softness.

Submuscular (under the muscle) placement provides more natural upper-pole slope and better mammogram visibility, while subglandular (over the muscle) has a shorter recovery. Dual-plane combines benefits of both. Your surgeon will recommend the best option for your anatomy.
In most cases, yes. The inframammary incision and submuscular placement do not affect the milk ducts or nipple sensation in the majority of patients.
Modern cohesive gel implants are not lifetime devices but typically last 10-15 years or more. They do not need to be replaced on a fixed schedule — only if a problem arises or you wish to change size.
