How Does Breast Implant Work?

What is the Recovery Timeline?
Day 1
Surgery & Hospital
The procedure takes 1-2 hours. You spend one night in the hospital wearing a surgical support bra. Mild tightness and soreness are normal.
Day 2-5
Hotel Recovery
You transfer to the hotel and rest. Gentle arm movements are encouraged. Avoid lifting anything heavier than 2 kg.
Day 7
Follow-Up Appointment

Week 2-6
Implant Settling

Submuscular (under the muscle) placement provides more natural upper-pole slope and better mammogram visibility, while subglandular (over the muscle) has a shorter recovery. Dual-plane combines benefits of both. Your surgeon will recommend the best option for your anatomy.
In most cases, yes. The inframammary incision and submuscular placement do not affect the milk ducts or nipple sensation in the majority of patients.
