Dimple creation surgery (dimpleplasty) is a minimally invasive procedure that creates natural-looking dimples on the cheeks. The surgeon forms a small connection between the skin and the underlying buccinator muscle, so that a dimple appears when you smile. How Does Dimple Aesthetics Work?
- 1During consultation, you and your surgeon choose the ideal dimple location by marking the cheeks while you smile naturally.
- 2Local anaesthetic is injected into the inner cheek, fully numbing the area. You remain awake and comfortable.
- 3A small incision is made on the inside of the cheek (no external incision). A tiny cylinder of tissue is removed from the buccinator muscle.
