Surgical lip reduction for proportionate lips
Is it safe?

Will the price change?
Your price is locked before you book. Surgery, hospital, hotel, transfers, aftercare — one number, no extras.
What if something goes wrong?
Mandatory insurance required by Turkish law. If a revision is needed — flights, hospital, surgeon — covered. You never pay twice.
Who's my surgeon?
Confirmed before you pay. Full credentials, specialisation, and patient results shared upfront. No last-minute switch.
What happens after I fly home?
24/7 WhatsApp with your coordinator. Scheduled video check-ups with your surgeon. 12 months, not 12 days.
Lip reduction surgery decreases the volume and projection of overly full or disproportionate lips by removing a precise amount of tissue from the inner vermilion. The procedure creates a more balanced facial profile while maintaining a natural lip shape. MedProper performs lip reduction in a JCI and TEMOS-accredited Istanbul hospital with plastic surgeons experienced in facial aesthetics.
Reducing overly prominent lips creates harmony with the nose, chin, and other facial features for a more balanced profile.
The incision is placed entirely on the inner lip surface, so there are no external scars visible to others.
Unlike dissolving filler, surgical reduction provides a one-time, permanent change to lip volume.
Your surgeon can precisely control the amount of reduction for each lip independently, ensuring a result tailored to your aesthetic goals.
Days 1-3
Swelling Phase
Significant lip swelling is expected (lips will appear larger before they appear smaller). Cold compresses applied. Soft diet recommended.
Days 4-7
Swelling Reduction
Swelling begins to decrease noticeably. Speaking and eating become more comfortable. Avoid spicy or acidic foods.
Weeks 2-3
Social Recovery
Most patients feel comfortable in social and work settings by day 10-14. Residual firmness in the lips is normal.
Weeks 4-6
Softening
The lips soften and become more pliable. Internal sutures dissolve. Lip sensation, if temporarily altered, returns.
Months 2-3
Final Result
All swelling resolves and the reduced, proportionate lip shape is fully apparent.

No visible external scar. The incision is placed on the inner (mucosal) surface of the lip, hidden from view. It heals very well due to the excellent blood supply of lip tissue.
Lip reduction is a permanent procedure. Removed tissue cannot be replaced, so your surgeon will take a conservative approach, erring on the side of less removal to ensure satisfaction.
Temporary numbness or altered sensation is possible in the first few weeks but typically resolves fully. Permanent sensory changes are very rare.
Yes. Both the upper and lower lips can be reduced in a single session. The surgeon adjusts the amount removed from each lip individually for the best proportional result.
In some cases, yes. However, if the issue is solely due to filler, dissolving the filler with hyaluronidase is usually tried first. Surgical reduction is appropriate when the lip tissue itself is excessive.
