What is Root Canal Treatment?
Root canal treatment (endodontic therapy) saves a severely infected or damaged tooth by removing the inflamed or dead nerve tissue (pulp) from inside the tooth, cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, and sealing them to prevent reinfection. Without treatment, the infection can spread to surrounding bone and tissue, leading to abscess and tooth loss. How Does Root Canal Treatment Work?
