Simple tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth that is visible in the mouth, fully erupted, and not structurally complicated. It is one of the most common dental procedures, performed when a tooth is too damaged by decay or trauma to be restored, or as part of a broader treatment plan. At MedProper Istanbul, extractions are performed gently using modern techniques for minimal discomfort and rapid healing.
A simple extraction takes just 10-20 minutes under local anaesthesia with no pain during the procedure.
If the tooth was causing pain or infection, removal provides rapid symptom resolution.
Simple extraction wounds typically heal within 1-2 weeks with straightforward aftercare.
At EUR 35 per tooth at MedProper, simple extraction is highly accessible and allows resources to be directed toward replacement options.

No. Local anaesthesia ensures you feel only pressure, not pain, during the extraction. Post-operative discomfort is mild and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.
MedProper can plan immediate or future replacement with an implant, bridge, or denture. Leaving a gap long-term can cause adjacent teeth to shift, so replacement is recommended.
Wait until the anaesthesia wears off to avoid biting your cheek. Then stick to soft, cool foods for the first 24-48 hours.
Dry socket occurs when the blood clot is dislodged from the extraction site, exposing bone. Avoid smoking, spitting, straws, and vigorous rinsing for 48 hours after extraction to minimise the risk.
